Hurricane Disaster Response

Hurricane Disaster Response

Hurricane Harvey hit the Gulf Coast of the United States, affecting millions of people in coastal Texas and Louisiana with multiple days of heavy rain and winds. While many evacuated, significant damage occurred, and thousands of people may be housed in shelters for an extended period of time.

Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria were among the most powerful storms ever recorded in the Atlantic, leaving widespread damage across Florida, Georgia, Puerto Rico, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, the U.S. Virgin Islands and other locations in the Caribbean.

As a church, we’re standing by our neighbors who have been affected as they begin the long road to recovery. Lutheran Disaster Response’s affiliates are collaborating with community leaders and government officials to respond. Please give now to support this response.

Your gifts ensure that our church will be able to provide help and hope for those whose homes have been devastated or who have been otherwise affected by these hurricanes for years to come. Together, we can help provide immediate and long-lasting support.
