Lent begins on Ash Wednesday with the Service of Ashes and Communion at 7:30 PM. We will be joining Salem Lutheran Church for our mid-week Lenten services. The dates and places of each service will be announced.
First Communion classes will be offered for school-aged children during Lent. Please see Pastor Horn if you are interested.
The TELL Youth Group is collecting donations of non-perishable food items and money through February 18 for the “Souper Bowl of Caring”. The goal is to collect 500 cans of food and $500 in donations. ELC’s collections will be donated to our own food pantry, and Trinity’s collections will go to the food pantry at the Presbyterian Church.
The ET Youth Group will hold a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, February 17 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM to raise funds for this year’s ELCA Youth Gathering. The cost is $7.00 for adults, $4.50 for children 3-12, and free for children under three. Please sign up through the church office by Sunday, February 11 (payment can be taken at the door on the 17th, but we need a count ahead of time).
Gift cards to many popular stores and websites are still available through the youth group as a fundraiser for the Youth Gathering. Lists are available on the tables at the entrances to the sanctuary, or you may contact Krista with questions. Orders for this round of gift cards are due by Sunday, February 11.
