Saturday Worship

Saturday evening’s casual worship service is one of Holy Communion. Hymns come from a variety of sources and may be traditional or more contemporary. When a Sunday festival occurs (such as Reformation or Pentecost), the weekend’s Saturday service will also celebrate that festival. On the night before Easter, a shortened form of the Easter Vigil service is used. There is no need to dress up – come as you are.

Sunday School

Join one of our Sunday School classes, available for people of all ages, to talk about Jesus, the Bible, and faith. The Children’s Sunday School and Confirmation classes will not meet on December 31st, 2017. Adult classes individually decide whether or not they will meet.

Sunday Worship

Our Sunday morning worship service takes one of several forms depending on the Sunday. On the first Sunday of the month and on festival Sundays (such as Easter and Reformation), we celebrate Holy Communion. The second and third Sundays of each month use the Service of the Word. When there are five Sundays in a month, the fourth Sunday typically also uses this service. On the last Sunday, we use the Service of the Word with Healing. When a festival falls…

Children’s Church

Join us for morning worship; following the Gospel, the children will be invited forward for a Children’s Sermon, after which the leaders will escort them to Children’s Church.

Quilting

The Hands of Love quilters meet every Wednesday morning at 9:00 AM to cut, sew, and knot quilts for Lutheran World Relief. Interested in joining? Contact the church office, or stop in on Wednesday morning, and we’ll introduce you.

Trinity Sunday

Trinity Sunday, or the Holy Trinity, celebrates God as the three-in-one, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is the only Sunday in the church year dedicated to God as a whole rather than Jesus or the Holy Spirit.

Outdoor Service and Picnic

Our annual outdoor service and picnic, held in the walnut grove at Tayamentasachta, Greencastle-Antrim School District’s school farm. Please sign up through the church office so we know how much food to provide. Parking is available at the elementary school.  If it rains, the service will be held in ELC’s sanctuary and the picnic in the Memorial Fellowship Hall.
