Ingathering Sunday

The first Sunday in October is celebrated as “Ingathering Sunday” (formerly “Blanket Sunday”) in which items are collected and blessed before being sent to relief organizations.  In particular, we use this Sunday to bless the quilts made Hands of Love Quilters in the past year and thank those that helped make them. The quilts are taken to Lutheran World Relief to be used around the world following disasters.
